Our Memory Support Unit forms part of Ashleigh House, however, is referred to as ‘The Manor’, known as Brenda Burditt Manor.

Explanation of fees at Ashleigh Community

Everyone’s circumstances are different, and your personal and financial situation will help determine the cost of your place in an aged care home. The government will assess your situation to see how much support you’re eligible for, which means some people may have most of their costs covered, while others who are able to contribute more may be asked to do so. Please be assured that we offer a range of options to suit all situations, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.

The good news is that if you are covering your accommodation costs without government assistance, you have flexibility and choice in how you pay;

How will I know if I’m eligible for financial assistance for aged care?

This covers the cost of living in a residential aged care home. You may be eligible for government financial assistance.

Financial assistance is available to those who truley need it. A means assessment will determine your eligibility based on your financial situation.

The Australian Government will pay your aged care costs if:

Your income is below $34,762.00 + Your assets are below $63,000.00

You pay full if:

Your income is greater then $33,849.40 + Your assets are greater then $210,555.20

Basic Daily Fee

This fee covers the cost of day-to-day services, such as meals, cleaning, laundry and facilities management and is payable by all residents.

the basic daily fee – 85% of the single person rate of the basic age pension. This changed twice per year

Rooms range in size from 9.72 m2 to 17.11 m2. All rooms contain built in robes, medically approved bed, window furnishings, heating and fans. Most rooms also have an electric chair, T.V installed, and side drawers.

Maximum room occupancy: 1

Room Size: 9.72 m2 to 17.11 m2.

Maximum refundable deposit: $360,000

Daily Payments: $83.15 (based on current MPIR of 8.43%)

Combination payment example, part refundable deposit:

Submission of 50% of the RAD ($175,000) and the remaining 50% as a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) of $36.68 per day.
This option applies to residents assessed as unsupported.

Basic Daily Care fee:

85% of the aged care pension, changes March 20 and September 20 annually

Means Tested Care Fee: TBA by Services Australia

Basic Daily Care Fee:

85% of the aged care pension, changes March 20 and September 20 annually

Daily Payments: $86.61 (based on current MPIR of 8.43%)

Combination payment example, part refundable deposit:

Submission of 50% of the RAD ($182,500), with the remaining 50% payable as a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) of $38.26 per day.
This option applies to residents assessed as unsupported.

Rooms range in size from 15 m2 to 17 m2. All rooms contain built in robes, medically approved bed, window furnishings, heating and fans. Most rooms also have an electric chair, T.V installed, and side drawers.

Room Size: 15 m2 to 17 m2. Subject to availability.

Maximum refundable deposit: $395,000

Basic Daily Care Fee:

85% of the aged care pension, changes March 20 and September 20 annually

Daily Payments: $91.23 (based on current MPIR of 8.43%)

Combination payment example, part refundable deposit:

Submission of 50% of the RAD ($190,000), with the remaining 50% payable as a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) of $39.82 per day.

Room Size: Approximately 17.11 m2

Maximum refundable deposit: $450,000

Basic Daily Care Fee: 85% of the aged care pension, changes March 20 and September 20 annually

Daily Payments: $103.93 (based on current MPIR of 8.43%)

Combination payment example, part refundable deposit:

Submission of 50% of the RAD ($215,000), with the remaining 50% payable as a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) of $45.08 per day.
This option applies to residents assessed as unsupported.
